Background

The Club Marion Sporting Precinct is bordered by Sturt Road to the south and Norfolk Road to the North at 262 Sturt Road, Sturt.

The basketball stadium on site has received Federal Government funding to be replaced and will commence in 2023 as well as Marion Arena (ice skating and rock climbing) expected to be built by a private organisation (Pelligra) at 262a Sturt Road, Marion.

Due to there being several sporting clubs and facilities at the site it is imperative that a ‘Precinct Review Plan’ is put in place before these projects progress so the site can adequately facilitate stakeholders well into the future.
