November 2024 - Project update
Following on from project endorsement by Council at their March 2024 meeting, the required approvals and written agreement with council have now been finalised. Works to build the community garden are starting on Monday December 9, with the installation of the garden fence.
The installation of the fence is expected to take approximately two weeks. Works on the remainder of Stage 1 of the garden design will then commence in early 2025.

Community Gardens
A community garden is a community space where residents come together to grow fresh produce including vegetables, fruit, flowers, and herbs. It is also a place for building social connections and a sense of community.
Cove Community Garden Incorporated is a non-profit community organisation comprised of local residents who have come together to establish an inclusive community garden in Hallett Cove. The group will be responsible for the ongoing care and management of the community garden in the central area of Perry Barr Farm Reserve.
