July update

Consultation closed at 5pm May 22, 2023, and we would like to thank you for your contributions.

Community feedback was considered, and council endorsed staff to commence with the detailed design process before reporting back to General Council in December 2023.

Background

The City of Marion is committed to providing walking and cycling infrastructure as it encourages healthy and active lifestyles, reduces traffic congestion and supports environmental sustainability.

Identified in the City of Marion’s Walking and Cycling Guidelines and the State Government’s Cycling Strategy for South Australia, the Flinders Greenway is a planned major walking and cycling route. The Flinders Greenway links Flinders University, Tonsley and the Marino Rocks Greenway (connecting into Adelaide CBD). The Flinders Greenway has been segmented into 3 stages:

Cohen Court, Tonsley to Adelaide Terrace, Ascot Park (Connecting to Marino Rocks Greenway)
