September 2024 - Project update
The upgrades at Seacliff Golf Course are going strong, with 50% of the irrigation system and groundwater supply replacement complete. In addition to the irrigation, we're also installing new pumps, tanks, filters, and a state-of-the-art control system. This multimillion-dollar investment will ensure a sustainable water supply, keeping the course green and thriving for years to come. Works to deliver the new clubrooms and pro shop are expected to be complete by mid-2025.

Background
Established in 1980, the Marion Golf Park (MGP) is a public 9-hole golf course located in Seacliff Park, South Australia. The course is ideally located with spectacular 270-degree views of the coastline and Adelaide plains.
The MGP’s original clubroom was demolished approximately 18 years ago for safety reasons. Since this time, the club has operated from a converted transportable building, which has presented a significant barrier to being able to grow its membership.
At its 12 September General Council meeting, council members endorsed the name to be changed to Seacliff Golf Course.
The key features of the Seacliff Golf Course redevelopment will include a new Clubroom and Pro-shop Building, landscaping improvements as well as a new car park. Council will also be improving water supply to the course to ensure it remains a sustainable public golf course for years to come. Overall Council is aiming to increase participation and activity at the site through the delivery of a quality 9-hole public golf course.
