Clubroom upgrade works

Redevelopment works will be staged throughout the remainder of the year and are expected to be complete by the end of 2025.

Background

The Warradale Park Tennis Club (WPTC) is a well-established community tennis club with a membership of approximately 160 members located on Gardiner Avenue, Warradale SA.

In February 2018, the Council upgraded the court surfaces, court lighting and fences as part of a three-year works program for Tennis and Netball Facilities.

In 2021 the WPTC developed a Stage 2 proposal to refurbish the existing clubroom which submitted to the Council. The proposal included refurbishing the ground floor to provide administration, bar and dining facilities, bathrooms, changerooms, and storage, as well as a new first-floor function room with spectator facilities.

To progress the project, the Council along with the Federal and the State Government of South Australia, are investing in the clubroom redevelopment.

The redevelopment includes:

  • Refurbishment of the ground-floor function and bar areas
  • New male, female, and accessible toilets, change and shower facilities
  • Improved storage, office space, and internal views of the courts
  • Enhanced access and pedestrian movement around the site
  • Minor compliance and architectural refinements to the upper level overlooking the courts
  • Modern exterior repairs and finishes

The redevelopment will modernise the club, enhance both accessibility and functionality, to meet contemporary standards and the expectations of both the club and the wider community.
