At the General Council meeting 12 February 2019, a Motion with Notice was raised regarding the designation of the fenced area of:
Hendrie Street Reserve Inclusive Playground is one of Council’s most frequently utilised playgrounds.
Due to the high number of visitors to the playground and close proximity of playground equipment there is limited space to support both children and dogs safely.
*Note in accord with the Dogs By-law assistance dogs will be permitted within the fenced areas and the balance of the reserves will remain as Dog Off-Leash areas.

The Hendrie Street Reserve Inclusive Playground opened in August 2018, was designed with the intent to provide opportunities for children of all abilities to play together in a safe, enclosed environment. The playground is frequented by large groups of children from within and beyond the City of Marion, both with and without a disability.
Hendrie Street Reserve Inclusive Playground is one of Council’s most frequently utilised playgrounds.
